Job Title: PHP Developer – Part Time Position
Company: TOMOS Software, LLC.
Location: New York, NY 10017
Education Level: Computer Science degree or working toward a Computer Science degree
Note: This is a part time position, requiring a minimum of 16 – 20 hours /week
Job Description:
A fast growing software development company located in New York, NY seeks a part time developer to assist in developing and maintaining Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) applications written in PHP and MySQL. You will gain valuable experience working in a professional environment and have the opportunity to contribute your creativity to production applications and websites.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Ideal candidate should not only be able to maintain and write great code, but must understand how to translate business problems into practical solutions
• Development and maintenance in a LAMP environment (PHP 5 and MySQL)
• Work with JavaScript libraries
Qualifications:
• Knowledge/experience with Object Oriented PHP is a must
• Must be able to understand and use development frameworks
• Knowledge of MySQL, JavaScript, AJAX, HTML a plus
• Must be able to work as part of a team
• Must have excellent communication and analytical capabilities
• UI development and design is highly desired
• Self-motivated, well-organized, and excited to take ownership and responsibility
• Team player capable of having fun contributing, sharing, and learning
This is a paid position, requiring from 16 - 20 hours/week. You will be working with a great team of web developers. This is a fun and friendly environment of hard working people.
